| Father's Day Car & Motorcycle Cruise: Sunday, June 17, Noon - 4:00
Sponsored by Mike Barnard Auto Group
Owners of classic, vintage and antique show vehicles from across the Finger Lakes and Western New York Region are invited to sign up to bring their automobiles and motorcycles to Canandaigua on Sunday, June 17 for the 6th Annual Sonnenberg Father’s Day Car & Motorcycle Cruise.
Organizers are eager to showcase automobiles of all sorts from “horseless carriages” (cars built/manufactured prior to 1916) to vintage vehicles, like the Model T, to mint-condition classics to modern marvels on the grounds of Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park.
Past participants in the show include the Horseless Carriage Club of Rochester, Mercedes-Benz Club of America - Finger Lakes section, Genesee Valley Auto Club, Rochester Corvette Club, the MG Car Club of Western New York and the Buick Club of America - Finger Lakes Chapter.
All visitors attending the show that day will be invited to vote for their favorites too, with the “People’s Choice Awards” to be announced prior to the close of the show at 4 p.m.
Individual drivers/owners, car clubs and affiliates and others new to the show are welcome and encouraged to register in advance by Wednesday, June 13th for $5 per vehicle. Click here for a registration form. Registration will rise to $10 at the door on the day of the show. All occupants of the show vehicle are covered under the registration fee. Show cars may begin arriving at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, with the public display to begin at noon, running through 4 p.m. Registration fees are a non-refundable donation to support non-profit Sonnenberg. Show cars should enter at the north entrance of the park on Fort Hill Avenue.
During the show, hot dogs, soft drinks, popcorn, pretzels, and other food items will be sold by members of the Friends of Sonnenberg, the estate’s volunteer council, with a chicken barbecue meal by Gale-Wyn Catering available, as well. Wine tastings will be offered inside Sonnenberg’s Finger Lakes Wine Center. Musical entertainment will set the mood for a fun-filled afternoon. It’s a day the whole family will love!
