This event is made possible with underwriting from the New York State Council on the Arts, administered locally by Phelps Arts Council. |
Come see your favorite gardens aglow with lights, and stroll the grounds on a balmy summer's eve - the ONLY time all year that the beauty of Sonnenberg is showcased at night!
Performers will be located on our newly renovated mansion veranda. Bring your folding lawnchairs and picnic blankets or choose from among some of the (limited) seats Sonnenberg provides. All concerts are held rain or shine!
Snack on light refreshments sold by the Friends of Sonnenberg or sip delicious wines by the glass sold by our Finger Lakes Wine Center. Stroll our Gardens, lit once again, as you enjoy the sounds of sensational music provided by this season's featured performers:
July 6: 198th Army Concert Band Click here for bio. The July 6th Moonlight Stroll is FREE for Sonnenberg Members! July 13: Tullamore Celtic Band & the Young School of Dance July 20: Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra July 27: The MusicMakers Big Band
There's no need for advance reservations as all admission is at the gate. Sonnenberg accepts the four major credit cards or cash for this evening event. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. each Friday night, allowing ample time for guests to meander their way up through the lighted paths, enjoying the evening vistas and viewscapes. A single, rotating tram is available to assist guests with mobility challenges in reaching the Music Tent, but the best views will be seen as you stroll!
Bring your cameras and consider entering the scenes you capture into our 2012 Photo Exhibition Contest!
Sonnenberg thanks NYSCA (New York State Council of the ARTS) and the Phelps Arts Council for special underwriting to support the musical performers featured during this year's Moonlight Stroll Music Series.
